Therapies

People suffering from chronic pain or injury have one thing in common, they all want to eliminate their pain. Here at the Lynch Chiropractic Center in Lexington, we use a number of chiropractic treatment modalities to alleviate pain. Our chiropractic team understands that people experience pain at different levels of intensity when dealing with the same type of injury. Our goal is to treat each person as an individual and to tailor each person’s treatment plan based on his or her needs.

A Different Approach to Chiropractic Care

Our chiropractor, Dr. Lynch, takes the time to do a complete history and physical on all of his patients. By listening to his patients, he is able to have an understanding of their condition before a treatment plan is created. Based on your condition, our chiropractor may add certain therapies to your chiropractic treatment plan. Including therapies in your plan can help with your rehabilitation process.

Treatment Modalities Used In Our Chiropractic Office

The following therapies can provide pain relief to patients:

Exercise Therapy

Our chiropractor incorporates corrective exercises into treatment programs to address chronic and acute pain. Corrective exercises are also used to increase posture, endurance, circulation, and flexibility. Our corrective treatment regimens are developed according to the needs of our patients. Once our chiropractor is certain that you are ready to do the exercises independently, he will then develop an exercise plan for you to do at the comfort of your home. The exercises you do at home are to help you maintain flexibility and range of motion.

Traction Therapy

Spinal traction is a specialized form of decompression therapy that is performed mechanically or manually. Our chiropractor uses spinal traction to treat pinched nerves, degenerative disc disease, herniated disc, and a number of conditions associated with spine.

Wobble Chair Therapy

The wobble chair is one of the active therapies used here in our office. We use this therapy in a number of ways. We use this treatment to build muscle strength in the lumbar spine and rehydrate the discs. In addition, the wobble chair is also used to keep your core activated, promote good posture, and increase your flexibility.

 E-stim Therapy

E-stim therapy is one of the most common chiropractic treatment modalities. Here in our office, we use muscle stimulation therapy to relax muscles, increase circulation, and promote healing. The electrical currents used in e-stim therapy is also used to train muscles and reduce inflammation. Dr. Lynch uses e-stim therapy to treat a wide range of conditions including pinched nerves, elbow pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, lower back pain, muscle spasms, and numbness.
