This means that the muscles have no time to brace for impact. As a result, the muscles and tendons of the neck may be forced to bend in unnatural ways to deal with the force of the accident. This may result in whiplash.
Whiplash Symptoms
Whiplash symptoms are not the same for everyone. Many people experience a sore neck, shoulders, and upper back, fatigue, mood changes, insomnia, dizziness, and difficulty concentrating. Movement of the head and neck tends to increase neck discomfort. Pain may also radiate from the upper back/ shoulders into the arms. Less commonly, some people experience depression and irritability.
Whiplash Treatment
